Kanagawa International School puts its emphasis on the development of
each student's individuality, while instilling a sense of responsibility
for self and others and increasing sociability. As a result, students
are able to establish their own identity and enhance their
self-organization skills. Kanagawa International School's aim is to
develop students into persons who have the capability to work in any
community of the world by teaching them to respect differences of age,
culture, ethnicity, nationality, race and religion. Inside the
classroom, students are expected to speak in English; conversations in
other languages will not be permitted, as English is the common language
worldwide. Kanagawa International School's Readiness Program is a system
designed to extend each student's abilities to the point where they are
able to continue their education in an international school. Teachers
are specially trained to guide the students in English conversations,
reading and writing, arithmetic, comprehension skills, and information
processing skills. Kanagawa International School tailors their teaching
to individual students, and they've thoughtfully selected textbooks and
materials.
